Title: Embracing the Mystery
Text: Psalm 8
Synopsis:
The Festival of the Trinity is an encounter with mystery. The metaphors we use to describe
the Trinity are unable to capture the enigma that is our God-in-Three-Persons. Perhaps,
like the Psalmist looking up at the night sky, we would be better off to simply sit with
mystery and remember that, as we gaze at the distant stars, our God is as close as the
breath in our lungs and the prayers on our tongues.
